Singleton Employment Pathways Program

The Singleton Employment Pathways Program is a new careers and jobs advice and linking service for the Singleton community, from school leavers to mature workers across all cultures and communities to access support, advice and training to find meaningful, secure employment in their local area.

The program aims to help Singleton community members, particularly displaced, unemployed, vulnerable, out of the workforce and first-time workers access the wealth of support, advice and guidance on training, apprenticeship, careers, and jobs advice to secure sustainable employment or start their own business.

With so many options available locally and regionally, funded by State and Federal governments, the vast amount of information can be overwhelming to know where to start or what the right job, career or new business opportunity is right for each person looking for employment.

The Singleton Employment Pathways program provides a central point for information combined with access to an experienced employment pathways advisor who can help workers understand their strengths, their options and refer them access to the regional services to help their job or career search.

Partnering with employment service providers, schools, RTOs and training providers, indigenous organisations and services, state and federal government organisations, industry and community organisations, Singleton Council and Singleton Business Chamber will pilot well-functioning Employment Pathways Program and referral service.
