Spend time in Singleton

Treat yourself to a relaxed shopping experience in Singleton. Discover unique treasures and enjoy boutique browsing without the crowds. Plus, with award-winning playgrounds, history and heritage to be found in the heart of the town, and plenty of places to eat, it’s a great day out for the whole family.

  1. Start your adventure at Singleton Visitor Information Centre in the Townhead Park precinct. Get all the tips and information you need to plot your ideal day, find locally made goods including candles, sweets, skin care and more, then grab a bite to eat at the cafe while watching the kids stretch their legs on the playground.

  2. Unlock new perspectives and creativity with a visit to the wide and varied exhibitions at Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre, also located in the Townhead Park precinct.

  3. Head up the highway and wander along George Street, home to heritage buildings and historic Burdekin Park. Stop in for a coffee, a bunch of flowers, home and giftware, or a bite to eat.

  4. Step back in time and explore Singleton’s amazing heritage and culture. Pay a visit to the Singleton Historical Museum in Burdekin Park—originally gifted by town founder Benjamin Singleton, the building was formerly the lock-up cells and then the Council Chambers.

  5. Take a measure of time at Singleton Sundial before making your way to Rose Point Park All Abilities Playground for fun and adventure for everyone.

  6. Continue on a tour of our award-winning playgrounds and scale three-storey towers, rope bridges and slides at Riverside Park on John Street.

  7. Take a wander down the John Street precinct and indulge in independent boutique shops offering everything from eclectic homewares and fashion for every style through to fresh blooms. Duck into Singleton’s two shopping centres for even more stores to help check off your list.

  8. Refuel with a coffee or something fresh-baked, cosy up in one of the many cafes or find a warm welcome at one of our country pubs.

  9. End your day with a stop at the Singleton Military Area where a fascinating collection of infantry corps history, customs and traditions are proudly on exhibition at the Australian Army Infantry Museum.

  10. Or extend your stay with even more adventure — taste the renowned Broke Fordwich Wine Trail and Hermitage Wine and Food Trail where culinary delights don’t stop at grapes. Home to hatted restaurants, boutique breweries and distilleries, cooking classes, Cellar Doors with award-winning wines, experiences that can take you to new heights and more, you’ll find plenty of treasures that you and your loved ones will enjoy.
