Broke Fordwich Wine Trail

Broke vineyards

Broke Fordwich is an historic wine growing region now renowned for its family owned and estate grown wines. It is also an emerging artisan food destination with olive groves, farm gate producers and acclaimed dining that deserves to be appreciated and savoured.

Follow the Wine Trail and meander through vineyards, savouring the wines at more than a dozen cellar doors and indulge in a range of dining options. Visit for the day or stay a little longer.

Discover the something new, the something different, the something special that sets Broke Fordwich apart as a unique destination within the Hunter Valley.

Nestled at the foothills of the Brokenback Range in the shadow of the majestic Yellow Rock escarpment, Broke Fordwich has a rustic charm and is the perfect destination for a relaxing rural retreat. The hamlet is peppered with boutique and biodynamic vineyards, olive groves, restaurants and cosy accommodation. It’s a short drive that sometimes flies under visitors radar, but well worth it.

This is where locals go to chill out and relax. It’s home to the largest organic vineyard in the Hunter, a chef’s hatted restaurant, significant aboriginal history, stunning scenery, sprawling olive groves and hands-on, award-winning winemakers. And peace and quiet. Lots and lots of peace and quiet.
