We encourage you to talk to us about your building or development options early on in your planning. Council’s Duty Planner and Building Surveyor are available to answer general provide general advice and to assist in the process of submitting your application.  Advice from the Duty Officer is generally recommended for less complex matters.  Where the development is more complex in nature, a pre-lodgement meeting is offered.

Council’s Duty Planner is available for general enquiries on Monday to Friday from 8.30am-12pm. 

The Duty Planning service can assist you with general planning- related enquiries and advice for small-scale development, Local Environmental Plan (LEP) amendments and Development Control Plan (DCP) amendments. 

To speak with the Duty Planner,  please call 02 6578 7290, or visit the Customer Service Counter at the Administration Building and ask to speak with the Duty Planner.  We ask that you please allow up to 48 hours for a call back.
