Finding Your Poetic Voice Workshop

Poetry-Workshop.jpeg

Through this free workshop, participants are invited to delve into the essence of what poetry is and what it can achieve.

Poetry goes beyond the ordinary functions of language in daily life and prose. This workshop will explore various aspects of poetic forms and how various poetic techniques can be harnessed to create powerful and evocative poetry. This will help broaden the concept of creative writing for participants, widening their appreciation and grasp of both poetry and fictional writing. Participants are invited to write a poem during the workshop or bring a poem for feedback.

This workshop will be facilitated by Gillian Swain on behalf of the Hunter Writers Centre.

Spots are limited for this workshop so book in now!
