OOSH

Before / after school care and holiday care is offered to families with school age children living, working or studying in Singleton. To be eligible to attend Singleton Council Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) children must be:

  • Enrolled to attend kindergarten in the year they wish to attend; or
  • Be attending kindergarten or primary school.
  • Children are ineligible when they finish primary school and/or attain their 13th birthday.

 

School buses

All local school buses will collect children from OOSH of a morning, and drop children off at OOSH in the afternoon. The bus companies charge per trip. 

You will need to notify your child’s school if you wish for your child to be picked up by bus and dropped off at OOSH. This will allow teachers to be aware of what bus your child must catch in the afternoon.

The bus pick up and drop off point is in front of the centre and there is currently no bus shelter. Please ensure your child/children have a raincoat or poncho in their school bags at all times to wear when raining.

If your child is expected at OOSH of an afternoon and they do not turn up on the bus then staff will ring their local school, bus company and emergency contacts until they are found. For this reason it is very important that you notify OOSH staff if your plans change and your child is being picked up from school.
