Singleton Development Contributions Plan 2008

The Singleton Development Contributions Plan 2008 applies to the Singleton Local Government Area and was made on the 10th February 2010. It is a statutory plan that sets out the administrative framework for levying of local contributions under Section 7.11 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act 1979).

Plans prepared under Section 7.11 of the EP&A Act 1979 allow Councils to require payment of financial contributions and/or dedication of land free of cost as part of the approval for certain types of development.

Such contributions help fund the provision, extension or augmentation of public amenities and services needed in response to growth.

Details of the contributions that apply to a specific development proposal will usually be detailed in the Notice of Determination of Development Consent for the Development Application or referenced in the Complying Development Certificate for Complying Development.

The levying of local contributions is an essential service to ensure adequate provision of infrastructure to serve the needs of our growing population.
