Apply for Work Experience

Singleton Council offers work experience placements for secondary and tertiary students throughout the year dependant on available opportunities.

We recognise and understand the importance of work experience and the benefits that it provides to both students and Singleton Council.

Students are placed within Council primarily to observe and learn rather than undertake activities that require extensive training or experience.

To submit you interest in a work experience placement, email our People and Culture team outlining the following:

  • Your name
  • Your school or educational provider/institute
  • The dates you would like to be placed (including how long you are seeking placement for)
  • Which area of council or position you are interested in.

Please allow up to 10 working days from the date of your enquiry to the commencement date of the work experience placement. This will allow Council the required time to identify the best opportunity and liaise with your educational institution to finalise and confirm your placement.
