The magic of Christmas is taking on extra significance this year with a sleigh of initiatives to bring the Singleton community together to spread plenty of festive cheer, support each other and the economy.
Christmas on John Street - Free Community Event
Deck the halls, hang the stockings and get ready to rock around the Christmas tree at Christmas on John Street.
John Street will become Santa Claus Lane, overrun with circus-style street performers, live music, kids activities, free Santa photos, food trucks, market stalls and laneway bar on Friday 8 December 2023 from 5.30 - 9.30pm.
Retailers + market stalls will be open for late night shopping so you can check off all the items on your Christmas list.
The evening will finish off with a bang with a fireworks display.

Shop Singleton
Check out the best Christmas window display in your favourite businesses and give the gift of choice with a Spend in Singleton gift card that can be used at more than 130 businesses.
Shop Singleton is an extension of the Spend in Singleton program to create a new energy for businesses and customers alike, and encourage our local residents and people in neighbouring local government areas to come to Singleton for their shopping in the lead up to Christmas.
Shop Singleton is brought to you Singleton Council in partnership with Business Singleton.
Spend in Singleton Christmas Competition 2023
The Spend in Singleton Christmas Competition will be run instore with participating local retailers.
For every purchase over $40 instore, a customer receives an entry to win a pre-loaded Spend in Singleton gift card - drawn weekly in December.
Ticket holders will also go in the overall draw to win the grand prize.
Light Up Your Business Christmas Competition 2023
Local businesses are taking part in the 2023 Christmas decoration competition - Light Up Your Business. The Light Up Your Business Competition is a great way to bring spirit and celebration to our community this Christmas. The community will be asked to vote on their favourite Christmas window display of participating stores.
