Waste Service Requests
Ordering new bins or making alterations to an existing service must be completed by the rateable property owner or the authorised managing agent. Bins may be ordered at any time by submitting the appropriate form:

Are you requesting a new service?
All properties within the serviceable area must have a standard Domestic Waste Management (DWM) service levied at a minimum, in compliance with local government legislation.
A standard DWM service includes:
- General Waste (Red) 240L bin with fortnightly servicing
- Recycling (Yellow) 240L bin with fortnightly servicing
- Organics (Green) 240L bin with weekly servicing
Occupation Certification must be in place upon application for new services and can take up to 14 business days to be implemented.
Are you requesting additional services?
Additional services can only be applied to properties with an existing standard waste servicing in place.
This means that your property already has a red, yellow and green bin currently in place and your household requires servicing in addition to this. Including:
- 240L General Waste Bin (Red)
- 240L Recycling Bin (Yellow)
- 360L Upsized Recycling Bin (Yellow)
- 240L Organics Bin (Green)

Are you upsizing to a 360L recycle bin?
Properties with an existing standard service in place can apply to upsize their 240L recycling bin to a 360L recycling bin. A one-off fee applies, please refer to Council's Fees and Charges schedule for more information.
Upon application, please leave your 240L bin at kerbside for replacement until replacement has occurred. If the bin is not accessible, this will cause unnecessary delays.
Are you opting in to weekly servicing?
Properties within the urban service area can apply to increase general waste service frequency from the standard fortnightly to weekly collection. Weekly servicing is prorated from the time of application for the remainder of the financial year. Please refer to Council's Fees and Charges schedule for more information.
This process can take up to 14 business days to be implemented.
Upon application, a weekly service sticker is prepared and applied to your bin. Please ensure that your bin is accessible during this time.
Are you opting out of weekly servicing?
The opportunity to opt out of weekly servicing occurs annually between April and May, ahead of the oncoming financial year.
All properties with implemented weekly services will receive a reminder letter from Council prior to this time. Properties opting out of weekly servicing will receive further instruction about the removal of their weekly service sticker(s) following application.
No further action is required if the property owner wishes to continue with the current service arrangements and where no further correspondence is received, the properties weekly general waste servicing will be applied for the following financial year.
Are you cancelling a service?
Service cancelations can only be applied to additional services or properties that no longer hold Occupation Certification.
All properties within the serviceable area must have a standard Domestic Waste Management (DWM) service levied at a minimum, in compliance with local government legislation.
A standard DWM service includes:
- General Waste (Red) 240L bin with fortnightly servicing
- Recycling (Yellow) 240L bin with fortnightly servicing
- Organics (Green) 240L bin with weekly servicing
Upon application for cancelation of service(s), please leave bin(s) out for servicing and retrieval at kerbside. Where bins are inaccessible, the service and associated fees remain applicable.
This process can take up to 14 business days to be finalised.
Are you reporting a damaged bin?
If you have reported a damaged bin, please ensure your bin remains kerbside for replacement or repair.
If you have a weekly general waste service and your bin is replaced, a replacement sticker will be ordered and applied to your bin.
Please allow 14 business days for this process to occur.
