Singleton Council will undertake Stage 2 and Stage 3 upgrades to Jerrys Plains Recreation Ground, with works commencing on 7 September 2026 and expected to take approximately 16 weeks.

The works will improve the functionality, accessibility and overall amenity of the recreation ground for community, event and camping use. Improvements include:

  • Earthworks and drainage upgrades
  • New access roads and improved internal circulation
  • Parking improvements
  • New pedestrian pathways and improved connectivity
  • Improved accessibility across the site
  • General improvements to the recreation ground’s amenity

During construction, the camping grounds will be closed to the public, along with the entrance road and reserve on Wambo Street. The hall will remain accessible to users.

The $445,000 project is funded through the United Wambo Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA).
