Child Car Restraint Workshop

Child-in-Restraint.jpg

Singleton Shire Council, Acting Sergeant Amber Brown from Hunter Valley Highway Patrol, Ken Adamthwaite from Adamthwaite Crash Repair, a licenced restraint fitter, along with Council’s Road Safety Education Officer, will host the free car seat education workshop to ensure all seats are properly fitted and maintained.

Two-thirds of child restraints are not being used properly, and this puts children at risk in the event of a crash. This is an opportunity for everyone who has a child seat in their car – parents, grandparents and carers – to come along and see how to correctly fit their car seats, providing maximum protection. The Singleton car seat workshop will provide information about NSW child restraint laws, the types of restraints available, and advice on moving children from one restraint type to the next.

Complimentary tea and coffee will be supplied, and registrations are essential. Bookings should be made by emailing ctola@upperhunter.nsw.gov.au.
