Singleton Gym + Swim is a premier aquatics and leisure centre consisting of a seasonal 50m outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor feature/toddler pool, an indoor heated 25m pool, a 12.5m indoor heated programs pool, a hydrotherapy pool sauna and spa.

In 2023 a mechanical audit was completed, identifying a variety of upgrades, repairs and replacements required onsite.

Additionally, the 25m pool water filtration system at the facility requires servicing and upgrades to meet current standards and improve efficiency. Due to budgeting constraints, this project was split between the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 financial years.

Upgrades completed in the 2023/2024 financial year (stage 1) included installation of an Atlas UFF PCT 250 filter, replacement of two recirculation pumps with VSDs, ultrasonic level sensing and replacement of the mechanical switchboard. 200mm PVC pipework has been installed for soiled water and filtered water return lines.

Current works

The Singleton Gym + Swim Mechanical Upgrades Project is entering its final phase, with the wading pool soon to have its own dedicated filtration, chemical dosing, and heating system – separate from the 25m pool.

To make this happen, both the wading pool and 25m pool will be offline from 24 November 2025 and are expected to reopen on 31 March 2026.

We understand this is a long closure, particularly over the summer months, and thank our community for your patience while these essential upgrades are completed. The improvements will provide safer, more efficient, and higher-quality swimming experiences for everyone once the pools reopen.

Upgrades to the the spa and hydrotherapy pool are now complete.
