National Tree Day 2025

WEATHER WATCH FOR NATIONAL TREE DAY THIS SUNDAY 27 JULY 2025

We’re looking forward to joining with our community to celebrate National Tree Day this Sunday 27 July at Robinson Reserve from 10am – 12pm with free native or locally significant tree or shrubs, free activities and expert advice on offer.

But we’re keeping an eye on the weather with forecasts for some rain to be about. In the event that inclement weather puts a dampener on the event, we’ll provide a notice of cancellation on Council’s website and Facebook page on Sunday morning.

Reconnect with nature this National Tree Day!

Head along to Robinson Reserve on Sunday 27 July and join the community tree care and awareness workshop.

With guidance from local Landcare experts, you'll learn about the trees that were planted during last year's National Tree Day event and give them some much-needed care from 10am - 12pm. You'll be able to see how much the trees have grown and hear all about what else Council is planning to revitalize the beautiful natural landscapes around the Singleton LGA!

Please note, there won't be any tree planting at this event due to the current chilly weather. However, stay tuned for a follow-up tree planting day in early spring!

All event participants will receive a free native and / or locally significant tree or shrub to take home and plant in their backyard.

There will also be stacks of free activities for the kids on offer.

What you need to know:

Volunteers must register on arrival.
The entire community is welcome to get involved in Singleton’s National Tree Day event however children under 18 years old must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times.
All participants should wear sun and winter safe clothing, sturdy shoes, gloves, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
The closest public amenities are located at Nowlan Park (Gardner Cct, Singleton Heights NSW 2330).
