Christmas on John Street
Deck the halls, hang the stockings and get ready for a massive evening of fun, food, fireworks and more when Christmas on John Street returns to the Singleton Town Centre on Friday 5 December 2025 from 5.30 - 9.30pm.
John Street will turn into Santa Claus Lane, overrun with roving entertainers, performances and other musical acts, food trucks, market stalls, bar, a huge range of free kids' activities like jumping castles, face painting, a silent disco, neon putt putt golf, circus workshop and so much more.
Burns Lane will light up for the night thanks to support from Thiess, Singleton Youth Venue will be open, as will our town centre retailers for late night shopping so you can check off all the items on your Christmas list.
Santa and Mrs Claus will arrive in style, escorted by Singleton firefighters in a vintage 1960's Beford firetruck, at 5.45pm. They'll make their make their way down John Street to Santa’s North Pole Grotto where thanks to Singleton Rotary, families can get free professional photos with the big man in red.
The evening finishes off with an epic fireworks display supported by Yancoal, set off from Rose Point Park at 9pm.

Information to help you plan your Christmas on John Street visit.
Available on the night will be:
- Power to plug in your electric scooter or other support devices at Singleton Youth Venue (corner of Pitt and Bathurst Streets)
- A companion animal area in the Ryan Avenue carpark area
- Sensory spaces including an interactive light installation down Burns Lane and a Chill Out Zone located near the Council Kiosk tent in John Street
- Accessible toilets in Ryan Avenue, Pitt Street and Singleton Youth Venue
- Accessible carparking along Pitt Street, starting at the Youth Venue, and the Pitt Street carpark

Road Closures
The following roads and areas in the Singleton Town Centre will be temporarily closed to traffic from 1pm to approximately 10.30pm for the Christmas on John Street event on Friday 5 December 2025:
- John Street between York Street and William Street
- Pitt Street between John Street and Laurel Lane
- Castlereagh Street between John Street and Laurel Lane
- Burns Lane between John Street and Ryan Avenue
- Burns Lane Council car parks
Signed detour routes will be in place during the road closure period.
