Singleton Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from interested people to fill up to four vacancies for members of the community on the Singleton Heritage Advisory Committee.
The objective of the Singleton Heritage Advisory Committee is to provide for increased community participation, awareness and appreciation of heritage in the Singleton local government area.
The Committee comprises one Councillor, three to seven members of the local community with a demonstrated interest in heritage and/or experience in a related field; Singleton Council’s Heritage Officer; and a Council staff member.
Members of the Committee are appointed for the length of the Council term.
Selection Criteria
Community representatives are appointed based on the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated skills and experience of positively working in a team environment
- Demonstrated skills and experience working with local communities and value-adding to decision making
- Demonstrated skills and experience in processes relating to conflict
- Resolution and prioritisation
- Well developed communication and relationship building skills.
