NAIDOC Week in Singleton 2026
Singleton will mark 50 years of NAIDOC Week with a vibrant program of events between 5 - 12 July and through the winter school holidays that invites the community to connect, learn and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Celebrate NAIDOC Week through humour, connection and storytelling with acclaimed comedian Andy Saunders.

An Australian comedian with a unique ability to use humour to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and spark meaningful conversations.
Andy is known for his sharp wit, clever satire, and engaging stage presence. He has captivated audiences nationwide, blending satire with thought-provoking commentary to leave a lasting impression. His trenchant observations of human behavior and sharp material, combined with skills in attracting and holding the attention of audiences of all ages are a powerful combination.

Film screenings @ the SACC
Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre will celebrate NAIDOC Week with a series of special film screenings in the gallery from Sunday 5 July to Sunday 12 July.
Winanganha by Jazz Money (106 minutes) and a film by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (47 minutes) will screen back-to-back at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
It's recommended viewers arrived 5 minutes early to grab a seat.
July school holidays @ the Library
There will be number of NAIDOC-themed kids workshops as part of Singleton Public Library’s winter school holiday program - running 6 - 20 July - including a painting workshop, weaving and feather jewelery making.
Activities are FREE, and bookings are required for some.

Traditional weaving workshop @ the SACC
A hands-on Traditional Weaving Workshop led by Michelle Earl from Kilipiynpiyn Workshops.
In this engaging session, Michelle will share traditional Indigenous weaving techniques, guiding participants to create their own simple bracelet while learning about the cultural significance behind the practice.
This workshop is perfect for ages 5 and up, with parent or guardian supervision required. All materials are provided. Free but bookings are essential.

Everyone is invited to join the whole community for Singleton's NAIDOC Community Day as we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly.
Wednesday 8 July
10am - 2pm

Come together for a day of culture, connection and celebration featuring:

- Corroboree
- 60+ Community stalls & services
- Cultural activities and workshops
