The Singleton community stepped up to clean up this Clean Up Australia Day. This collective effort saw a total of 60kgs of litter removed from the local environment. The community then celebrated their efforts with a Lion's sausage sizzle, slip 'n slide and icypoles.
This project is located at Col Fisher Park in Hunterview, with the goal to protect rare River Red Gums, restore habitats, and tackle erosion and weeds, helping safeguard a unique natural space while bringing the community together to care for Country.
Community members came together to plant native species along the Hunter River, boosting local biodiversity while building strong community connections.
