Important Information About 2026/2027 Rates Notice

We have identified an administrative error in your recently issued 2026/2027 rates notice.

The error relates only to the Australian Business Number (ABN) printed on the notice.

Your rates notice is still valid, and the error does not affect:

  • your rates and charges
  • the amount payable
  • your property details
  • your payment reference number
  • payment methods
  • your payment due date

Council has corrected the error and implemented additional quality assurance checks to help prevent a similar issue occurring in future.

Do I need to do anything?

For most ratepayers, no action is required.

  • If you have already paid your rates, no further action is needed.
  • If you have not yet paid, please continue to use your existing rates notice and make payment by the due date shown.

Important information about your waste voucher

Your annual rates notice includes one Waste Management Centre voucher.

This voucher is not affected by the ABN error and remains valid for use.

Please keep your original rates notice as the waste voucher attached to it cannot be reissued or replaced if it is lost, damaged or discarded.

If you would like a replacement rates notice showing Council's correct ABN for your records, please contact Council's Revenue Team on T 02 6578 7290 or email Ecouncil@singleton.nsw.gov.au

A corrected notice will be provided free of charge.

Please note that replacement notices will not include replacement waste vouchers. The waste voucher attached to your original rates notice remains the valid voucher for your property.
