Church Street drainage upgrade - kerb and gutter

  • Project typeDrainage
  • Project value$320,000
  • Project scheduleJuly 2026
  • Completion Date31 July 2026

Singleton Council is undertaking improvement works on Church Street to address ongoing drainage issues and improve the road environment for residents, pedestrians, and motorists.

Church Street is an important urban collector road connecting South and Central Singleton. While the road is sealed, sections of the street experience drainage problems during periods of heavy rainfall, leading to water pooling and reduced road performance. Community feedback and customer requests have highlighted the need for drainage improvements along the street.

The project will include the installation of new stormwater drainage infrastructure, kerb and gutter construction, and associated road reinstatement works. Nature strips will also be regraded to provide a smoother transition for pedestrians, with disturbed areas restored using new turf.

These upgrades will improve stormwater management, enhance road safety and accessibility, and create a more resilient and functional streetscape for the local community.

Singleton Council appreciates the community's patience and understanding while these works are underway. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask all road users and pedestrians to take care around the work site, follow all traffic management signage, and help keep everyone safe.
