Still Life with Oil Pastels + Watercolour

Create, explore and imagine at Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre these school holidays.

Inspired by the centre's current exhibitions, young artists will begin with a family-friendly gallery tour before creating their own still-life artwork using vibrant oil pastels.

Participants will learn how artists use observation, shape, line and colour to represent everyday objects while developing their drawing and creative thinking skills, and will take home their own masterpiece.

Guided by a Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre Art Educator, children will experiment with composition, colour blending and mark-making techniques to create a unique still-life artwork inspired by objects found in the gallery and studio. This workshop encourages creativity, confidence and self-expression in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Ages 6+. Parental or guardian supervision required.
