Free Compost Workshop + Giveaway

To celebrate International Compost Awareness Week 2024 and local action to divert organic waste from landfill, Singleton Council in partnership with Singleton Community Garden and Solo Resource Recovery are hosting a free compost workshop and giveaway!

The workshop will be held at Singleton Community Garden from 11am-1pm on Saturday 25 May.

It will be facilitated by local 'Compost Queen' and valued Singleton Community Garden member Ernie Harbott, who will explore:

• What is compost? (The basic science behind it)
• What are the benefits of composting? 
• How to set up and maintain a compost system

There will be a compost giveaway for all registered attendees and a compost themed prize pack valued at over $200 up for grabs for one lucky workshop participant!

Registration will occur at the time of event.

The prize pack will be drawn at 12.30pm on the day. The winner must be present to claim their prize.
