Eligible homeowners, renters and primary producers in the Singleton Local Government Area who were impacted by the severe weather event in May 2025 can now apply for assistance under the Australian and NSW Governments’ new $50million Housing Support Package.
Additionally, a dedicated Housing Recovery Service has been established to provide a one-stop shop to assist those in need of support, assess eligibility and guide them toward the support that best meets their individual recovery needs.
What is the Housing Support Package?
The Housing Support Package has been launched to assist communities across the Mid North Coast and Hunter regions that were impacted by devastating floods in May 2025.
The package includes a suite of services to help residents return to safe and stable housing - whether through repairs, relocation or temporary accommodation.
Introduced in response to the record-breaking flooding in May, these new grants provide one-off financial assistance to help households return to home quickly, covering urgent costs such as removalists, rental bonds and other costs related to setting up a new home.
It's being offered to flood-impacted residents whose homes were rendered uninhabitable across the 25 LGAs hardest hit by the May event, Singleton included, where they don’t have insurance cover for the damage.
