Singleton Council has received $5,073,500 from Transport for NSW’s Get NSW Active program to deliver a direct pedestrian and cycling route to connect Hunterview and Singleton Heights with the Singleton town centre.
The bridge will be an important link for about 7,000 people who currently live in Singleton Heights and Hunterview by making walking and cycling safer and more convenient for people to leave the car at home for short trips.
The project also includes the conversion of Combo Lane to a quietway.
Council’s Infrastructure Services team is currently assessing tenders to design and construct the bridge.
