Singleton Waste Management Facility will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday 6-7 August 2025 to both commercial and residential customers for preliminary works as part of the construction of a new leachate pond at the site.
Singleton Council will honour National Reconciliation Week with a special flag raising ceremony at the Singleton Civic Centre on Thursday 30 May at 10.30am.
The theme for this year is “Now More Than Ever" – a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will – and must – continue.
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The flag raising ceremony will be held in the Civic Centre forecourt and will include a Welcome to Country, Mayor’s Address and a Response to the Theme.
The event will be livestreamed on Council’s Facebook page.
