Australia Day 2026 - Official Ceremony

The official Singleton Australia Day ceremony will be held at Singleton Civic Centre on Monday 26 January 2025.

The ceremony, held to mark our national day, will also be livestreamed via Council’s Facebook page and website.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a traditional BBQ breakfast that will be served up from 8am by Rotary Singleton and take part in the smoking ceremony at 8.45am by Wonnarua elder and former Citizen of the Year Warren Taggart.

The official ceremony will begin at 9.30am and will include:

  • Address by Australia Day guest Uncle James Wilson Miller
  • Announcement of Citizen of the Year and Young Achiever of the Year
  • Citizenship Ceremony
