Focus on Energy Reduction Campaign
The Focus on Energy Reduction Campaign is a community education project facilitated by the Hunter Regional Environmental Educators Network. The project aims to empower residents to learn more about energy consumption and energy efficiency within the home.

The project provides access for residents to an Energy Reduction Kit which includes a power usage meter for the purpose of conducting a home energy audit. The kits provide the necessary tools to discover the energy consumption of everyday appliances, the cost to run the appliance per week, month or year and calculations to find out the greenhouse gas emissions, based on usage. The kit includes a booklet of energy saving information and a home energy audit activity.

In Singleton the power meters can be borrowed from Singleton Library for two weeks at a time to measure appliances that are operating in your home. Contact the Singleton Library for borrowing availability.
