Clean up Australia Day is a community event that is run every year by Clean Up Australia. The event operates by encouraging community members to register a site in the local area and spend some time collecting litter from the surrounding area. The day attracts hundreds of thousands of volunteers from the community, schools and businesses to help clean up, fix up and conserve their environment.
In Singleton the event aims to address various locations, local roadsides and local parks. The event is coordinated by Singleton Tidy Towns Committee with the assistance of Singleton Council and the main registration point is at Bailey’s Union Park. Singleton Tidy Towns and Singleton Council encourage Singleton and District community’s participation.
