Draft Environmental Noise Policy

At its meeting of 18 October 2022, Council resolved to publicly exhibit the Draft Environmental Noise Policy for a period of 28 days.

The purpose of the draft Policy is to assist Council to deal fairly, consistently and effectively with noise complaints and noise offences. The draft Policy relates to noise from private and public property and includes the residential, industrial and commercial sectors. It also includes noise from sources such as air conditioners, vehicles, refrigeration units, power tools and equipment, musical instruments and vineyard operations.

The Draft Environmental Noise Policy will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 26 October to Tuesday 22 November.

The document is available for viewing on Council’s website at W singleton.nsw.gov.au or in hard copy at Council’s Administration Centre, Visitor Information Centre and Singleton Library.

Community submissions are encouraged and may be made in writing to the General Manager via email to council@singleton.nsw.gov.au with Draft Environmental Noise Policy in the subject line, or by post to PO Box 314, Singleton NSW 2330 by 22 November.
