"Lake St Clair also makes a wonderful family day trip or weekend during the school holidays. There is plenty to do including camping, swimming, boating, and a picnic or BBQ lunch.

“Bookings are already at capacity for Lake St Clair over the Christmas and New Year period, and Council has planned for the increase in visitor numbers with additional services for amenities at the site and rubbish collection.”

Lake St Clair
With 11 powered sites and over 28 hectares of camp space, Lake St Clair is your go-to local spot for camping, fishing and boating this summer. Take your pooch along for a weekend of fun and sun, but book in quick with several weekends already at capacity. (Please note all dogs must be on a leash).

With an increased number of visitors to the site during the Christmas and New Year period, Singleton Council has planned for the busy holiday season with additional services including:

  • more portable toilets;
  • weekly rubbish collections with extra services on 28 December 2017 and Thursday 4 January 2018, and additional services if required;
  • a large skip bin for bulk camping items to be emptied as required;
  • twice daily services of amenities during busy periods; and
  • regular inspections by Council’s Parks and Gardens team.

There have been significant improvements to the site, including a new caretakers’ cottage and the installation of a boom gate to provide better service to visitors. However, the improvements are not yet complete and will not be operational until a date to be determined after the busy Christmas holiday period. Visitor fees will be payable to the caretakers’ caravan as is usual practice.
