    SINGLETON COUNCIL BY-ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY 30 JULY 2022

    A by-election will be held for Singleton Council on Saturday 30 July 2022 to fill nine councillor positions. The election is the result of the failure of the iVote system in the December 2021 local government election, and a ruling by the Supreme Court to void the election outcome.

    VOLUNTEERS WANTED TO HELP GET YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE ROAD

    A call has gone out for more volunteers to be part of a life-changing program that puts young people in the driver’s seat. The award-winning DRIVE program is a partnership between Singleton Council and Singleton PCYC, supported by Transport for NSW, that trains people to supervise young learner drivers who would otherwise be unable to tally the 120 hours necessary to graduate to their P plates.

    SINGLETON ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTRE CELEBRATES NEW EXHIBITION INSPIRED BY WOLLEMI NATIONAL PARK  

    After bursting onto the arts scene earlier this year, Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre is teaming up with Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre for its latest exhibition. ‘Viewpoints: Wollemi National Park’ (14 May – 3 July), partially funded by the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions Program, features the work of five artists captured on country in Wollemi National Park.
