Get Ready, Singleton! Grab the entire family and bring them along to the action-packed Singleton Emergency Service Expo. You don’t want to miss this unique opportunity to see our local emergency services in action, meet your heroes, experience live simulations and demonstrations, and learn about how you can prepare for an emergency event.

Singleton Council, in collaboration with state-wide and local Emergency Services and organisations, will provide an educational, fun, and free community event for all ages. 

The Emergency Services Expo is designed to showcase the essential roles our emergency services play, and to help Singleton residents get prepared for an emergency.

Be sure to come along and meet Emergency Services staff and volunteers, learn about getting prepared, and check out the great displays and activities!

A range of demonstrations will be conducted on the day, including:

  • Car roll-over rescue
  • Hot fire
  • Chainsaw storm operations demonstration
  • Cultural burning
  • Bush fire and flood simulations of our local areas under different conditions, using state of the art computing with digital sand table
  • The Pillowcase Project with the Australian Red Cross - Singleton kids, get ready!
  • Mental health first aid
  • Community-led Resilience Teams
  • Mascot race
  • Competition for ‘best dressed’ for kids (come dressed as your favourite emergency service!)
  • Kids’ colouring in competition - click here to download your entry and colour it in! Drop your finished masterpiece in at Council on or before Wednesday 17 August 2022 to be in the running
