Flagship Events

Each year, Council organises the delivery of four flagship events for Singleton.

Australia Day celebrates what’s special about our beautiful country. Join in on twilight celebrations on Australia Day eve, with activities including

The fun continues on Australia with a traditional BBQ breakfast, following by the Australia Day Citizen Award ceremony on the Civic Centre stage.

In Autumn, the days get shorter and cooler but one sure-fire way to warm up is to head to Singleton Firelight.

Returning bigger and better in 2019, Singleton Firelight will feature pyrotechnics, flame jets, fire drums, transforming Singleton Civic Precinct into a blistering festival of music, food and fire.

Also on the Civic green you will find a gathering space dedicated to the region’s food and wine. This will be the epicentre of the event where you will encounter drool-worthy eats from food trucks, and wine and craft beer from local wineries and breweries. All that’s left is to take a seat at one of our communal tables to enjoy the twinkle of lights overhead and the trendy beats of local bands.

Blast is an adventure day to try something different, take up a challenge and just have fun. Think all things adventure - rock climbing, bubble soccer, LaserTag with 15 inflatable devices, gymnastics, camel riding, jumping castles and much more.

BLAST is a family-friendly, inclusive event for all ages - best of all, most activities are FREE! We only ask that you wear long pants and enclosed shoes and queue patiently!

All the fun and festivities of the Singleton community Christmas party will hit the main street on Friday, November 24 with a packed program of entertainment and activities sure to have even the most ardent Christmas grinch celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

John Street will become Santa Claus Lane from 5pm as street performers, market stalls and children’s entertainment take over the pavement, complete with a main stage and performances by Singleton Town Band, Theatrical Society and roving carols by Singleton Choir.

And of course, there’ll be a visit by the jolly man himself culminating with fireworks on the riverbank at Rose Point Park at 8.30pm.
