Singleton Council has been successful in obtaining a Stronger Country Community Fund grant for the beautification of the Civic Centre forecourt.
The Singleton Civic Complex Forecourt Beautification Project will transform the existing open space between the Council Administration Offices and the Civic Centre to a place where people might sit, gather, and be sheltered - essentially to become a place of destination in itself. Within a low height wall in the shape of the Hunter River, the works involve seating and planting within nooks, and a canopy providing shade and shelter.
Council has engaged The University of Newcastle – School of Architecture to develop a detailed design.
The Singleton Civic Complex Forecourt Beautification Project is funded by a NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund grant.
