Aboriginal Reconciliation

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

The Upper Hunter NAIDOC Week Awards are held every two years to celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Upper Hunter.

Nominations are now open for individuals and organisations who live or work in the Upper Hunter, Muswellbrook and Singleton local government areas until 4 June 2021.

Winners will be announced at a special presentation evening on Friday 9 July 2021.
